Bogavich, Jason |
2009 Crew Review- After two years of being semi-healthy, Jason had a flare up of arm problems again in 2009, taking away much of his velocity and control. After two years of good command Jason averaged almost 2 walks an inning and pitched 15 less innings than last season. Even with a ERA approaching 8, Jason managed to pick up 2 of the Crews 6 wins.

2007 Crew Season-
2008 Crew Season- After pitching last season healthy, Jason had a relapse of arm problems in 2008. Command being an issue early in the season, Jason averaged a walk an inning most of the season. Toward the end of the season he was able to string together a couple of good starts earning him player of the week for the final week of the season. During that week Jason gave up only 2 earned runs in 21 innings, striking 26. On the mound, Jason throws a moving fastball in the 80-83 mph range, getting up a bit higher when healthy. He also throws a good circle changeup, curveball, and sinker. At the plate in 2008 he showed again a great ability to put the ball in play hard and make consistant contact at the dish. In only 21 plate appearances Jason collected eleven base hits. 2008 Crew Highlights
2007 Crew Review- Finally healthy, Jason was a staple in the rotation for most of the season. He commands a moving fastball in the 80-82 mph range. In 2007 Jason showed excellent command, having a stretch of 22 ip with walking only 2 batters. His best asset on the mound is the movement of his fastball and his circle changeup. He also commands a curveball, cutter, and sinker. Now healthy Jason also showed great stamina, throwing 5 complete games, throwing a nine inning 185 pitch CG in the playoffs. At the plate Jason has a quick swing and makes great contact using all fields. In limited plate time he showed consistant ability to put the ball in play somewhere. 2007 Crew Highlights
